Summer of Heritage
24 June – 1 September, various locations

Summer of Heritage events are a series of free tours that bring DLR’s rich history to life. From first time tourists to lifelong residents, a fascinating past is waiting to be uncovered. Click here for more information.

Teddy’s Picnic
10th July, Blackrock Park

Summer would be un-bear-able if we didn’t have our annual Teddy Bear Picnic! An afternoon of fun and games, laughter and teddys of all shapes and sizes! Bring your bears and blankets for a brilliant day at Blackrock Park.

Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta
11 – 14 July, Dun Laoghaire Seafront

500 boats and over 2,500 sailors will all compete in the 8th edition of Ireland’s biggest sailing event. A festival of fun for all ages with guaranteed smiles and excitement, there is no better way to spend summer days. Click here for more information.

Loco Land
13 July, Dun Laoghaire Harbour

Loco Land takes over the harbour with a fully immersive festival featuring the now infamous Bingo Loco, fairground rides, a Christmas market, a 10-meter marathon, Dustin the Turkey and Ireland’s largest ever karaokeDun Laoghaire may never be the same again! Click here for more information.

Beatyard
3 – 4 August, Dun Laoghaire Harbour

Beatyard is our annual family favourite festival which features some top acts from the music industry. All the fun of a major music festival in a perfect central location, what more could you want? Click here for more information.

Bay 10k
5 August, Dun Laoghaire Bay

Now in its 9th year, the DLR Bay 10k is one of the most popular events of the summer with over 1600 participants taking part in the road race. The course takes in some of the most spectacular sights along Dublin’s famous coastline. Click here for more information.

Playstival
10 – 11 August, Airfield Estate, Dundrum

A two-day festival dedicated to play and discovery, fun and excitement, great food, live music, and most of all family time together. The festival line-up allows parents the opportunity to play with their children or let them interact with other kids and enjoy the games and interactive shows. Click here for more information.

Ironman

25 August – Dun Laoghaire Area

Starting at Sandycove’s iconic Martello Tower before winding through Wicklow’s incredible hills and finishing back in the picturesque Dun Laoghaire Harbour, this special event welcomes thousands of supporters and athletes to DLR for one of Europe’s top Ironman competitions.

Ski Club of Ireland Ski Championship
28th – 29th September, Kilternan Ski Club, Co. Dublin
