Secretly tucked away in the cosy ULYSSES villages of Sandycove/ Glasthule the epic tale will be celebrated in true tradition on Friday 16th June from early morn with the hoisting of the flag on the Joyce Martello Tower followed by “Breakfasts of Giblets, stuffed hearts, crumbed livers and lambs kidneys smelling of urine”. Well that is simply an extract from the novel!

The day continues with costumes worn in memory of Leopold and Molly Bloom. Glasses of Burgundy with Gorgonzola abound from Peter Caviston’s Emporium to The New Sandycove Yard to Charles Fitzgerald’s to Mitchell’s for a Rosé or a Green Spot and adding in a mug of Good old Dublin Coddle.

Readings and live music throughout the day. After years of lock down, this is an opening Festival not to be missed...celebs will abound as ever.
