Dublin Racing Festival
1st & 2nd February, Leopardstown Race Course

Dublin Racing Festival will combine the best that the city has to offer over one weekend – join the party for the best of Dublin culture, music, food and jump racing that will simply take your breath away.

Urban Climb Discounts
13th January - 14th February, Explorium

Climb to new heights in Conquer Your Fears or Urban Climb or explore down low in the world’s longest indoor caving challenge. From Monday January 13th to Friday February 14th, prices are reduced to €10 per climb at Urban Climb.

Regional Festival & Participative Grant
Application Deadline: 5 pm, February 7th

Are you working in the tourism sector and organising an event in Dun Laoghaire - Rathdown this year? Dun Laoghaire - Rathdown County Council has received some funding from Failte Ireland to support a number of regional festivals and participative events in 2020.

St Patrick's Day Parade
March 17th, Stepaside

There will be St Patrick's Day festivities on the 17th of March in Stepaside. All are welcome.

Dublin Bay Cruises Summer Launch
17th March, Dun Laoghaire

Why not discover one of Ireland’s most beautiful coastal fishing villages? Hop on board the St Bridget and sail from Dun Laoghaire to the traditional fishing village of Howth with its world renowned fish restaurants and fantastic walks.

During your voyage you will see aspects of Dublin that are not possible on any other mode of transport.

Dalkey island, Clontarf and the world wildlife reserve Bull Island, Baily and Kish Lighthouses, Howth head, Ireland Eye, Lambay Island and Howth Harbour with it’s many seals swimming in the harbour.

The 2020 sailing season will commence on March 17th and bookings are now open here.

Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival
26th - 29th March, Various Locations

Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival 2020 is taking place from Thursday 26th March until Sunday 29th March. This year, festival events will be taking place in dlr Lexicon and the Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire and in dlr Mill Theatre Dundrum.

Through poetry, novels and non-fiction events, Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival 2020 will see international authors share their stories and cultures.

Park Run in DLR
Every Saturday at 9.30 am, Shanganagh Park & Marlay Park

Parkrun organise free, weekly, 5 km timed runs around the world.

They are free, open to everyone and are safe and easy to take part in. These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and we encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; all are welcome.

Take your first step in Shanganagh Park or Marlay Park every Saturday morning at 9.30 am.
